  • Visa Applicants should fill online visa application forms onindianvisaonline.gov.in and submit a print out of filled-in form with two colour photographs (51mmx51mm) and documents as specified below. Please submit at BLS centre (http://www.blsindiavisa-uae.com/) along with:
  • The sole purpose of travel should be of having a medical treatment in India.
  • The applicant should seek medical treatment at reputed/specialized/recognized hospital in India.
  • Two medical attendants are allowed to travel with the patient. They can be his/her family members, relatives or associates.

 

MEDICAL VISA:

Documents required:

i) Filled-in and signed hard copy of the online visa application form;

ii) Two recent colour photographs;

iii) Letter of invitation from an approved Hospital /Doctor in India;

iv) Medical documents establishing the need for taking medical treatment in India;

v) A referral letter or preliminary medical advice from the Abu Dhabi or Al Ain hospital, recommending specialized medical treatment abroad.

vi) Proof of availability of sufficient funds for stay in India including the expenses for medical treatment by producing documents such as Bank statement, Salary certificate, sponsorship letter etc.;

A Medical/Medical Attendant visa is normally issued in 3 working days, exclusive of the day on which application is made.

 

GUIDELINES

  • Attendant/family members of the patient coming to India for medical treatment shall be granted Miscellaneous visa co-terminus with the ‘Medical Visa’ of the patient. Such visa may be granted to the spouse/ children or to those who have blood relations with the patient.

  • Foreign nationals visiting on ‘Medical visa’ of more than 180 days will be required to get themselves registered within the period of 14 days of arrival in India with the concerned FRROs/ FROs.

     

DURATION

The initial period of such a visa will be six months or for the period of treatment, however, in case the duration if visa is more than 180 days, applicants are required to get themselves registered within 14 days of arrival in India with the concerned FRROs/ FROs. Unlike the tourist visa, this can be extended in India, with supporting Medical documents.
