Overview

 

 

  • Visa Applicants should fill online visa application forms onindianvisaonline.gov.in and submit a print out of filled-in form with two colour photographs (51mmx51mm) and documents as specified below.

 

MEDICAL VISA:

Serious ailments like neurosurgery, joint replacements ophthalmic disorders, renal disorders, cardiac problems, congenital disorders, organ transplantations, radiotherapy, plastic surgery, gene therapy and others are of primary considerations in granting a medical visa. The list of treatments is non-exhaustive.

  • The sole purpose of travel should be of having a medical treatment in India.
  • The applicant should seek medical treatment at reputed/specialized/recognized hospital in India.
  • Two medical attendants are allowed to travel with the patient. They can be his/her family members, relatives or associates.

Documents Required:

1. Two recent (not older than 3 months) color passport size photographs.
2. Valid current passport (at least 6 months validity with two blank pages for affixing visa) and previous passports.
3. Copy of National Identity Card and Passport.
4. Copy of reservation of return tickets (to and for journey). Under no circumstances the applicant should purchase the travel ticket before obtaining the visa. It is strongly advised that applicants do not make confirmed bookings before obtaining an Indian visa.
5. Bank statement of three months.
6. Copy of valid travel assurance.
7. Invitation letter from Company in India.
8. Letter from applicant’s company (Order De Mission) sponsoring the business visit to India indicating nature of applicant’s business, duration of stay, places and companies to be visited in India.
9. Copy of Business Registration Certificate (Company registration) issued by the Tunisian authority.

10. Relevant letters signed and stamped from the hospital concerned in India should be provided on the letter head of the hospital/organisation with applicant’s details.

Visa Processing Time:

Visa processing will commence after submission of printed copy of Visa Application Form, required documents and deposit of visa fee at the Embassy. There will be no refund of visa fees in the event of non-issue of visa. Applicants are therefore requested to ensure that they provide all the documents and details and carry all original documents for scrutiny at the Embassy. Under normal circumstances, the Embassy makes every effort to clear visa applications of Tunisian nationals (except of those having dual nationality), within three working days. In case of other nationalities or passport holders with dual nationality, a minimum of five to seven working days are required for processing of visa.
